Coolant Leak Rear Manifold
(Sorry Dennis, hope you ok me pushing your name and knowledge around a bit)
Go to his response, I see you can click a user, go there and there is a drop down search of posts and other things.
Do yourself a favor and watch everything yo have time for.
I'm with you about $1400 for just the rear manifold. The initial quote of $2000 seemed high. Yes, definitely something I don't want to push out.
Also, did you get any other components fixed when they had the supercharger out? I asked them about the front and rear together and they said that would be around $2700. This one seems high as it means they are charging me $1300 just to do the front manifold.
Thank you!

Yes, I did a lot more.
1. I put it in for the crossover pipes.
2. They suggested a timing job, minor rattling on the tensioner and I approved a full timing job. Please don't ask cost
(Probably would have been fine to not do this for 2 years, but I plan to keep the car so I moved the spend because they suggested.)
Others are more experienced than me, but the things I believe could or should be touched at that time.
3. Water Pump, simply because its critical and a known failure point and kills engines if people don't stop fast enough.
4. Belt, simply a cheap ish component that's already off
5. I think you'd get to injectors easier with S/c off but that deserves a separate post based on OEM and non-OEM part costs
6. .....guarantee there's a better posr on here iwht a list...
Don't forget the PCV diaphragms while the SC is off. They are too cheap. I use the after market ones that are made from a better elastomer hopefully they will last longer.
They claim they use military grade Fluorocarbon. I have a pair installed on my car. So far no complaints.
