Default Cross brace threads

I removed my crossbrace and cowling to have access for supercharger removal and I noticed the threads/retainers for the cross brace look a little strange. Like they are both slanted towards the drivers side. The threads are straight and flush with the fender it’s the washer portion on top that is slanted on both sides.

Anyone else’s look like this?

Removed my cross brace yesterday and noticed that one of the bolts (thread) had been buggered at the factory somehow. Had the car since new so I know it's never been out.

The brace gets removed a lot at the dealer to remove the SC and possibly the intake manifold. The threads were damaged? You could probably easily clean it up using a Blue Point (Snap-On) thread chaser of the correct size.

Did the washers look straight? It looks like they are there as shims to take up the small space between fender and the black plates the brace mounts to.

The manifold has never been off mine, and it's NA so no S/C.
Three of the bolts came out easily, one was very tight and the threads stripped of their finish. The picture makes it look like loctite or something, but it's not, it's a partially stripped bolt.

That’s very interesting. You wouldn’t happen to have taken a photo of the threads on the car?
