Be warned... only the New Vehicle Warranty (4yr/50K) covers trim (which includes the leather dash). The Jaguar Select Certified Pre-Owned Warranty does not.

WOW!..After reading this thread, it made me paranoid enough for me to just go out to the garage and apply another coat of Aerospace Protectant 303 to the dash.

I have a 2010, with less than 50K that I bought used with the certified pre-owned warranty. I think it kicks in after the factory warranty expires, but I'm not sure. The dash looks horrible bubbled up. Terrible workmanship for such a high end car. If it's not covered by the original warranty I can't see paying 3-5K to fix it. I was thinking of using a syringe to inject some adhesive. I don't think you would notice a small pin hole in that area.

@Doug, IT IS covered under original factory warranty as already stated, not under select edition though.
NO EXTENDED warranty covers trim items.
And HIGH END= PERFECTION never, more money is just that, more money. Doesn't buy love, health, or a perfect car

Thanks for the advice, I thought the extended warranty kicks in after the original warranty expires. I'm taking it in this week.

I'd suggest that owners try to avoid long periods of direct sunlight on the dash. If you regularly park in the sun get a sun shade.

I took my car in today and they are going to order me a new dash. Covered by the original factory warranty! Looks like they used a different leather in the new model Xfs

Thanks, I'm really happy about it. I love the car, but the dash was bothering me everytime I got in it. To me the Jaguar brand is about beauty and craftsmanship and I can't wait to get my new dash and get the fresh smell of leather again.

My car is past warranty has anyone tried any MCgiver like fixes? My leather has moved outward on both sides of the speaker.

{imagination now needed} Im thinking maybe some type of mechanism that has retractable arms and some sort duhicky that extends and shortens the arms thus pulling the leather in closer and maybe some type of adhesive to eventually hold the leather in place. Any Ideas. Im no way interested in paying 3-5k to fix this leather

I just bought a 2010 XF with 40k miles. The dash was fine at the dealer when I bought it but now after a month bubbles appeared. It is hot here in Florida and the previous owner must have kept it garaged. Definitely out of warranty. Any suggestions on gluing it myself? A little hole or cut. How about some Fuzit or so? What is beneath the leather? A solid piece of sheet metal?
