Default Dashboard Knock

Occasionally when I go over a bump I hear a slight knock that seems to be coming from the left-middle area of the dashboard.

I've read here about the bubbling troubles with the leather dash; has anyone had a similar noise from their dash and if so, what did you do to rectify?

Could be anything....But to be sure it's in the dash..Open the hood and see if the engine cover isn't loose and banging around or whatever else..Noises from the engine compartment can radiate into the dash sometimes.

Other than that..It maybe the vent air supply duct or a loose wire harness.

I hate frickin noises too...know how you feel.

Ugh - dealer fixed the dashboard rattle/knock when I had it in for service earlier this year. All of a sudden the rattling has resurfaced and it's driving me crazy. Sounds like a hollow knock emanating from the center of the dash up near the windshield. When I had it at the dealer before, they acknowledged the problem and said they took the dash out and affixed some sound deadening material/foam to prevent the sound. Looks like I need to take it back.

Should I feel bad about taking my car in for warranty work when the only thing wrong with it is a noise that pisses me off?

NO! There is no such thing as a warranty repairable problem being insignificant.
