First long (well, 300 miles isn't around the block, considering) thrash on the northeast interstates thru MA/RI/CT/NY/NJ to arrive at my PA house.
300 miles, constant speed (mostly...if you know CT, you know) 65-70. Light on the loud pedal (except for a couple of "what the heck are they doing 45 in the center lane of a 65 MPH zone...time to show them the cat's rear end..."). Coolant stayed full, oil still shows full on the MFD after letting it drain as per the manual. Computer says I averaged 28 MPG; about right since it took about 5/8 of a tank.
Comfortable ride, the missus dozed most of the way. I think she's good to go (the car, not the missus...who's a trooper in any case....).
Did stop by my old wrench (Jaguar Specialists in Fallsington PA) and he threw it on the scanner and confirmed that my front passenger door lock is tango uniform. Bunch of other historic codes in there, but that was the only current one. Important thing is that the emissions scan is fine. Going to have him do a tranny oil service (filter/pan and ZF fluid; car has 92K on it right now) end of the month. He's still flogging the '99 XJR I sold him, albeit needing to replace the tranny (which was a breaker yard replacement before I bought it...has 275K miles on her...!!!):
