Deadpedal (footrest finisher) installation
I have a 2015 XF 3.0L SV6 (x250) and have purchased an OEM deadpedal (footrest finisher) for an F-type (T2R11322)- see above. It matches the stock XF sports pedal covers C2D8416). The installation instructions for the deadpedal (which are for the F-type) say to drill 3 x 7mm holes 15mm deep into the footrest (see below). The instructions are not only for an F-type but are for a LHD vehicle, while mine is an 2015 XF (x250) RHD and hence the footrest is directly next to the transmission tunnel. Is it possible for me to drill these three holes in to my raised footrest of my RHD 2015 XF (x250)? If so, I wonder why Jaguar never offered this footrest finisher as an option for the XF, only the F-type. I have seen on the forum other have done this for an XJ, but again LHD. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Forget about drilling holes just stick it on with some strong (but thin) double sided tape, that is what I have done on each of my XFS, XFR and F-Type, and none of them budged a micron afterwards.
If there are any mounting holes on the outside (I believe there are not) and the empty holes bother you simply cut half the threads off the screws/scrivets and glue them in the holes.

Sorry if I led you astray but all the footrests/dead pedals I fitted were/are after-market with flat backsides. A helluva lot cheaper than the OEM ones and they look just as good. I did however fit the genuine article stainless steel pedal covers to the XFs and the F-Type came with them already.
Yes, I reckon you should cut those threads off and use the VHB instead, a helluva lot better than drilling bloody great holes in the floor of the car.
Just be very careful with the positioning of the pedal before you press it right down.
Yes it cost a fortune, which is why I was thinking I would ask before doing something irreversible. Think I'll take your advice, I see you've done the pulley upgrade, I've been thinking about it but a bit gun shy. I still take it to the dealer for service, but given what they quoted me for new rotors and pads I think that will change. I guess its depreciated so much since brand new, I don't have much to lose anymore! I was thinking about doing the pulley myself but frankly I dont think I can even get the stupid tray off in the front, there is like 100 torx screws in there lol
