DIY Oil Change 2010 XF - Top Extraction? Extractor?
I recently purchased my first Jaguar, 1 2010 XF Portfolio. I immediately did an oil change the standard way....under car, through oil plug, etc... I found a small tube under my oil fill cap and believe it to be an oil extraction tube... to be used for oil extraction during a change. I do not want to have to put the car up on ramps and go underneath if I don't have to. What I am looking for, specifically, is for a recommended oil extraction pump type/model to purchase/use for my 2010 XF Porfolio 5.0.
I did not find other posts on this topic....if there is one, please provide link.
All help appreciated.

There are several threads throughout the forums (try advanced search, then select "Jaguar Models (Current)" to search all the relevant forums for oil change), but any decent oil extractor pump should do. Can be had for $40-$60... google "oil extractor pump."

That is what it used for..it goes down to the bottom of the oil pan within 1/16 of an inch from the very bottom...I proved to myself you can't get it all out via the suction method, I got out about 1/8 of a quart more when opened the drain plug..Some will say no big deal for leaving an 1/8 of old oil in to mix with a fresh batch...I put in 7.7 qts from bone *** empty.

Somebody posted a link at one point to the Jaguar World Monthly article describing the 5.0L oil changes...
