Default do I have a headlight washer? 2010 xfr???

So I was removing my headlight today to replace the bulb and I noticed that there was a connection at the bottom that looks like a hose to that odd-looking Chrome piece between the headlights that look like a headlight washer but I don't see any button inside that says there's a headlight washer can anyone explain what that hose is connected to the back of my headlight?

Yep, but only when your headlights are on. Makes sense I suppose!
I have never once detected or noticed the washers in action on my XFS, XFR or F-Type and I am of the view they are nothing but Nanny state mandated useless gimmicks.

They certainly are not mandated by the American "nanny state," but since they work best at higher speeds than we can legally drive it is just as well that most cars here don't have them.

I don't even think they work that great at higher speeds, and have always seen them as a gimmick, whichever car they're fitted on. I don't live in the rust belt but I can't imagine that spurting a dribble of washer fluid on like 50% of the area your headlight lenses does much for caked-on salt in the winter

Volvo had the right idea....

I've actually found the headlight washers to be great in the winter (but terrible in summer). In the winter (north East USA) the car gets plastered with snow/ice or dirty salt and the washer jets ensure the headlights are cleared
But ... in the summer they jet washer fluid that runs diagonally up the bonnet (hood) and spoils the shiny clean look!

I always thought they should be able to be switched on or off from the menu!

I had a Volvo years ago with the mini wipers too!
