That shouldn't effect the warranty at all seeing that putting an exhaust on can't hurt anything. The only issue you may run into should only be dealing with the smog laws in your state. Getting rid of your CATs will cause your car to fail any emissions test, so if you're in a state or county that goes through them, you might want to do a catback or axle back and leave the rest alone.

What do you guys suggest a coupe with resonator or cats delete? Or just an x pipe?
I've determined that listening to sound clips on the net is a waste of time. I've heard many exhausts after watching video and NONE sound like they do in person. I took video of my car being dyno'd and it makes a very cool sound below 2500 rpm. I watched the video and it doesn't come through. I heard Patrick813's exhaust after hearing it on the European Car website. Sounded different. Unless you have a really good microphone and a sound system that produces the full spectrum of sound and at the proper levels, it won't sound the same. So I decided to not post video because you really won't know what it sounds like unless you hear it anyway.

TOTALLY agree. Its senseless. Anything that has a high dynamic range combined with people that are into the nuance of the sound....no point. I went to the Reno air races as an example....the sound is emotionally moving....any video of it is just not even close.

SO any way I could make the car loud and have the deep sound. My car is louder then stock but nothing that is loud that could be heard across an average size parking lot.

I can't remember...what exactly did you do? I thought you did straight pipes back from the second resonator. Is that right? I heard Patrickw813's exhaust and that setup will get you heard across the parking lot. They used 3" pipe from the axel back with Vibrant mufflers. Not sure of the model though. It's quite loud. And deep. And angry sounding. Reminded me of what a C6R race car should sound like.

SO my rear mufflers have been replaced with pipes. It is not a true straight pipe. Mine is a 5L 2011. Its not the xfr
Would removing the resonator and replacing the H pipe with an X pipe make any difference?

From my experience removing the two center resonators and replacing with X-pipe should change the sound to have less decel popping. The 5.0 NA I drove as a loaner sounded very similar to a stock XFR in tone, maybe even a bit louder. That may have to do with the valves that the XFR has as well.

So is there any way to make it louder? I will remove the resonator and do a x pipe. But that would only remove the popping not make it louder?

Just take out both resonators and replace with straight pipes and see what you think then. Should be as loud as it can be with just straight pipes from the cats. If it's too loud try adding small mufflers back into the mix.

agree with this ^
just take out the 2 resonators and see what it sound like.. basically just try catback. Don't mess with the cat, it will create issue with the engine light etc. Just do catback.

Do you want to reduce deceleration popping? If so, x-pipe is the answer. At least that's what I found.

Any modification to the exhaust will void the emissions warranty, however, not the standard factory warranty. So if later on you get a catalyst efficiency code and need your catalytic converter replaced they won't cover it. Emissions warranty is 8 years / 80,000 miles. If something were to ever happen the dealer may still cover it under warranty but it's at their discretion determined on a case by case basis.

I just had that done in my XKR, and what you say is true. Unfortunately, I quite liked the popping!

But the exhaust sounds awesome at lower speeds, with no drone at all at 100 - 110kph (about 60mph).

So I was thinking of doing the whole exhaust system from the headers. I would like some views. I have talked to a few people they dont have the same cars but exhaust system can be similar at times. So from the headers I would be doing titanium pipes with O2 sensors to avoid the engine light. I would not be using any cats. After the cats id be using a custom built titanium x pipe replacing the resonator. From the resonator dual exhaust tips. Everything would be titanium. I would be using 3" pipes. Please give me some views ideas. I can save a lot of money using stainless steel but would titanium give me a better sound i know it saves a lot of weight but i dont do any serious racing that I care about weight.

Stainless would be fine and sooooo much less expensive. In Canada do you have to check the emissions every few years? If so then try to find some high flow cats instead of taking them out completely.
