Electronic throttle response: strange behavior
2009 XF premium luxury, 4.2 V8, 25,000 miles. Very delayed throttle response at times, the delay is so extreme at times that a wheelspin occurs, but this is rare.
Has anyone successfully done something to improve the throttle response to make it more direct instead of delayed?
the newer XF's have extremely good throttle response that almost seems like a cable throttle, I wonder if there is a way to put this software on the older car?
I plan to disconnect the battery to let all of the "driver learned parameter" type things reset, hopefully that may help the issue
thank you

This is not normal. With electronic throttle I would be conservative and have it checked.
The dealer should be able to run a diagnostic on it.
The electronic throttles use redundant software so two errors are normally required for a malfunction.
