Default Tail lights question

Have about 2 or 3 burnt out on each - driver and passenger side - tail lights on my 2009 XF Premium.
Just curious but are these LEDs as opposed to incandescent bulbs?
Would dealer have to replace the whole line on each side or just replace individual duds and is this covered under warranty?

Mine were a mess. I had both side rear tail light assemblies replaced. I believe that they are LEDs and that there is an assembly problem (at least they implied this in the documentation at the end of the service). I have seen one or two other Jag XFs with the same issue.

Just to be clear, this is covered under warranty.
