Default Engine swap xf v8 5l

My engine finally failed after a left head gasket blew. I think replacing the gasket is too much of a job. I have found good used engines in the 4 to 5K I donīt know if new ones are available.
I understand that for 2011 to 2014 engines are same with letter B on 8th position on VIN number. Has anybody completed an engine swap before in this forum. I understand that removing engine is not
as complicated as removing valve head with engine in vehicle and that its reasonable job all considering and that no further computer work is needed.

Appreciate any comments.

I have the engine out of mine now to fix the head gasket. I just had the head straightened but in needs new intake valves so waiting on those currently. The same engine is in the Range Rover except cams are different. If you do swap I would buy your old one if in US, I have rebuilt 4 so far. Let me know if I can help.

You fixed 4!.Wow man Respect! Well if you can let me know the following.

1. It seems removal is straight forward as your picture shows. Remove Exhaust, Drive shaft...
2. Once you put new one in of similar VIN do you have to fiddle with software or something?
3. How many hour did you take to drop it and put it back in.

Thanks much and regards
