Default Erretic ABS / DSC and light and parking sensors issues

Hello folks,

I will split this post into three sections. ABS/DCS, interior and exterior lights and parking sensors. This is to try and describe my issues with my SV8 and hope for me to fix them. My English is not the best, and this could also be reflected in the way I try to explain my issues. My car is a Jaguar XF SV8 2009 4.2 SC (Pre-facelift) with 89k miles on the odometer.

ABS / DSC / EBD
I will start with my first issue, ABS/DSC EBD... Every time I put the key in position 2 or start the car after a few seconds (20-30 seconds), a lot of errors will be displayed on the dashboard like ABS not available, DSC, EBD ... I`ve used the diagnostic tool for more details related to my fault which can be many things but using this tools you will narrow the possible issues and what I can find on the ABS module error is only 1 which error code "U3000-87 Control Module" which I can clear but it will not remove the ABS DSC or EBD error. As a diagnostic tool, I'm using JLR SDD v166 and ThinkCar2. Short story, I`ve investigated deeply, and in live data, I found that "Electronic Stability Program Sensor status information - Steering angle sensor calibration flag.". So basically the error is indicating to me that I have an issue with the Steering wheel sensor, but it is not 100% true... Why? ... I will explain it, but first I will give more details which make this issue even more bizarre.. In the live data, I`ve selected a few sensors or modules to monitor (Steering wheel angle, Steering wheel angle - raw, Yaw rate sensor). When I monitor this live data, I can see that the Steering wheel angle -raw data are changing when I rotate my steering wheel left or right and the same for the yaw rate sensor, but the steering wheel angle data are 0 and not moving at all. Up to here, I think everyone will suspect that the steering wheel sensor (which can also be true) is faulty or that something is wrong with the wiring on this sensor. Now this is the tricky part, at least for me. Using the "Actuation Test" from the ThinkCar2 diagnostic tool, I can trigger "Electronic traction control/dynamic stability control valves - electronic traction control priming switching 2" and the ABS light will flash 2-3 times, and the errors regarding the ABS / DSC and EBD will disappear... All three sensors mentioned before (Steering wheel angle, Steering wheel angle - raw, Yaw rate sensor) will display values, and they will change if I rotate my steering wheel. At this stage, if I turn off the car or I put the key in position I, and in 2-3 seconds back to position II or turn on the engine, the errors will not appear, but if I leave the car in possition I for more than that I will have the same issue. On the diagnostic tool, I can see a lot of errors related to the BCM (lost communication with CJBS or RJBS), which I can clear, and they will not appear until I turn off and on the car or the ignition again. To illustrate this issue, I created a video screen on my phone. Please, check the link -

Interior and exterior light.
Same situation here... I turn the ignition or the car on, and all the interior lights will not turn on or off (odometer illumination, cabin illumination, other dashboard illumination element, left or right signal), but the hazard triangle with hazard signal will be ok. After this period of 20-30 seconds, I can turn off and on the interior light, and this is the same for the exterior light. I can`t command them during this period. Even the auto light will be turned on after this period. On the rear BCM (RJSB), I can see that 3 pins are slightly corroded, which means the water from the trunk has been present in the past. The corroded pins are on the C1 connector. No error codes for the lighting module.

Parking Sensor
This is another system which is not functioning properly (Parking aid unavailable). There are no error codes on this module. On the live data, I can see all the sensors and the value for the distance, which doesn`t change at all if you approach any of those sensors. I`ve changed the wiring boot for the rear camera with a new genuine harness because the old harness was damaged, and I decided just to replace it to have less hassle, and also the wiring is also worn after so many years, so I decided to change it with a genuine one. The blue image from the camera is fixed, but the sensor issue is still present. In very occasional scenarios, the parking system starts to work, and I can see on the live data that the values on each sensor change when I approach the car with an object. Could this be related to the corroded pin in my rear BCM (RJBS)??

- So far, I`ve cloned my front BCM (CJBS) unit, but nothing changed. I want to do the same for the rear BCM (RJBS), but I don`t know if my issues are related to these two units or something else, like ground in the car or another module which can cause all these faults. I don`t want to just clone the module and be in the same situation, but as the last step, I will do that also. Any suggestions will be more than welcome. Also, forgot to mention that I bought the rear yaw sensor and steering wheel sensor because they were cheap and could also be the cause of my ABS / DSC EBD issue, but I didn`t install them yet. I would like to have some suggestions which might help me with my issues. Another thing I would like to ask is what ground I should have for my issue?? Any suggestions for the ground which I should look more carefully at?? I`ve already checked the rear power distributor for loose connections, but it looks all fine and nothing loose there. Thanks, folks, in advance, and sorry if I didn`t explain my issues good enough, maybe.

Best

Andi
