Front End Clunk
Having an issue were the front end of my suspension is clunking. It only happens when the car sits over night or sitting for a short period of time. It happens when going over a speed bump slowly. I also had this issue on my 2011 Portfolio but could not figure it out and now it’s on the 2015. Any help would be appreciated
Is it a sound that you can repeat? Either by braking, accelerating, cornering, adding pressure to the front end (Trying to bounce) or is it just when it sat for a while? Is the clunk sound with a metal on metal, a muffled thud, a hollow thump like a side fist on a fender? Could you feel something as well when it occurs?

As you know it is always a challenge when there is a concerning sound that can not be regenerated to trace. I am also thinking that there is no code being thrown or warning light.
When trying to identify an issue, there are many factors that have to be taken into account. You have presented us with an outcome or at least one readily identifiable outcome with the clunk. You also identified that it can be felt under your foot. It can not be repeated for tracing but you have identified it when going over a speed bump, it mainly occurs after the vehicle sits for some time. For someone who is not present during this event, it is not a lot of information to go by.
What have you looked at to start the diagnostic process, what was the conclusion of the 2011? Have you lifted the vehicle and looked at control arms, struts, bushings, brakes and ball joints? It could be suspension, body/bolting, parts ceasing then releasing (If reoccurring with speed bumps then most unlikely but then I would think you would be able to bounce the front to recreate)
How would you say your mechanical abilities are and do you run scan tools or diagnostic software?
I ask this as it would relate to the type of questions/recommendations put forward for investigating. Also, the more information that you could present would bring more people in with support.

If this sound only happens once after starting the car and moving off, then it may be the ABS unit doing a self-check. I think the unit runs the check when reaching a certain speed ... it's a low speed.
