2011 XJL Suspension Conversion
Hi all,
A friend of mine has a 2011 XJL supercharged, with those horrible air struts and the comfort ride system. He’s tired of replacing the rear air struts, I know Arnott makes an improved aftermarket strut, but we want to get rid of the auto suspension all together.
there is a ton of kits out there for 2010 and below, but I see none for 2011. What is the issue with this, did they change the mounting and size of the suspension components or is it a computer issue that will not allow it?
does anyone know of any work arounds or anyone that makes a conversion kit?
thank you everyone for your help in advance!!!

How many failures has he seen for the rear suspension? I have a pair on the shelf for when a bag blows, but I soap test them every year. Mine's a 2012 with 66k miles on the Chassis. I live in Milwaukee with terrible roads, if that helps frame my use.
That is odd because since Jaguar went with just the rear air suspension we have seen very little trouble reported?
I think the reason you see no kits is there is no demand. I have never heard of anyone replacing the rear air bags in this model of XJ.
I have done a complete swap to coil springs on the previous generation XJ though. Those certainly failed regularly!
