front pass seat air bag trigger weight
Hello everyone,
2013 XF 2.0 have a question regarding seat weight limit for triggering activation of the airbag. My son who weighs 105 (he's 10) sits up front with me sometimes and I get the warning light that air bag is not armed. When it was in to the dealer a few weeks ago, the service tech said it has a weight trigger at 125lbs. Now that seems a bit high considering many adult women only weigh 110-120lbs. Could he be mistaken? I wondered if it was a fault with the circuitry up front because I have popped a few fuses using different cigarette chargers in the front receptacle and I notice that that warning lamp is on the same circuit as the cigarette receptacle. Could it be a fault or is the arming trigger really that high?
