Default Fuel Economy XF 2013 3.0

Hello fellow Jaguar owner's,
Beyond activating the Start/Stop Eco Mode, are there any tunes or hacks that can be used to get better fuel economy from the 3.0 V6 supercharged 2013 Jaguar XF. I'm currently averaging about 18l/100km town driving

Scary number! My 2012 5.0 NA is typically 11.0-13.0L/100km and on the highway 9.4-10.3 when cruising in the 120-130kms/h range. Does your 2013 have the 8speed transmission?

What do you mean by Town driving? Sitting in traffic for prolonged periods.
How many miles on car?
Are the brakes binding, feel the wheels/disks for uneven heat, in one of them compared to the others.
scan for codes!

It does have the 8 speed transmission. Highway driving brings it down to as low as 9l/100km but short hops in and around the city with stop start traffic takes it all the way up to 20l/100km

Total miles on it is 43,000 kms. Town driving basically meaning short trips sitting in moderate to full on traffic jams. I still feel the consumption is on the higher side

Thats a low milage. If you are looking at the message centre, it could well be correct, depending on how long you are stopped. As it is the ave fuel consumption.

Your reading of consumption at constant speed travel, few stops is good. So cannot see much wrong with the car.

Check the miles to fuel added, and work out the consumption, rather than the Ave consumption.

I'm averaging way better than that,10.4 litres/100km over the last couple of years.
Same engine (but F-Type vs XF so slightly lighter car), same gearbox, same driving pattern (95% short trips around the 'burbs mostly very short with the very occasional longer trip).
You should be getting a lot better than 18l/100km, I reckon something is out of whack.
Like I always say start with the quick/easy/simple/free/cheap checks first:
MAF sensors - if dirty or on the blink can massively reduce fuel economy, so check them and clean them, quick and easy to do with MAF sensor cleaner in a spray can (I use CRC).
Air filters - easy to check/clean/replace (easy on an XF that is, not so easy on an F-Type!)
Vacuum leaks - check all easily accessible hoses and pipes for holes/splits/cracks or loose fitting.
Oxygen sensors - common high mileage failure point on these engines.
Catalytic converters - one or both could be on the blink/failing/falling apart/clogging the exhaust.
For the last two you need a code reader to check for codes, a decent code reader is a necessity on these cars/engines, but in any event a dodgy O2 sensor or cat converter should throw a CEL so if no CEL then its unlikely one if these is the root cause of poor fuel economy.
