FUEL Filter
I am getting a low pressure message on my 2015 Jaguar XF Luxury. My mechanic has narrowed it down to the fuel filter and I am now trying to buy the part on Ebay
or Amazon.
I am not even sure what I need to be looking for or at as there are so many pictures.
Does any on know this part no. or can help with sourcing this part. I am in Jamaica and the dealer doesn't have the part.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hello Sportbrake_Phil
Thanks for your reply. The engine is a 2 liter with turbo. It is also left hand drive
I am new to Jaguar, I only got this one in December so I am working my way through it.
Please forgive my ignorance.
Thanks

The DI engines only have a screen type filter in the tank and it is not replaceable or a maintenance item like in the past. It's only replaced when the in-tank fuel pump is replaced. Now several people have JUST replaced the pump with a cheap aftermarket one. How long that will last is anyone's guess and I would say that for all the work required to change a fuel pump in the first place you will be money and time ahead to just replace the entire unit. Pump, screen as an assembly.
Why does your mechanic think this? Please post the codes he found? Your car has 3 pumps I think? Again without more information your causing us to just guess what's going on? You should have a low pressure conventional fuel pump in the tank. If it's a DI engine you will also have two HPFP (High Pressure Fuel Pump) that are gear driven mounted to the front of the engine down low on the passenger side on a LHD car.
All of this is expensive so you want to be sure of what needs replacing BEFORE you start ordering parts. The fact your mechanic does NOT know how and why your fuel system is set up this way is a giant red flag. Be cautious with what he says as I don't think he understands your XF very well?
Post back with more complete information if you want more accurate answers.

Yes we never got those in the US so your kind of on your own here. As you can see I gave you the wrong info because we had no car info.
It's critical to post your car details or you will just not get anything worthwhile back.
