Welcome to the forum Steve,

I've moved your question from X260 (2015 onwards) to X250 (XF/XFR 2007-2015) forum. This is the place to post questions about your model.

On other Jaguar models the Range is calculated with reference to current consumption. The figure rises and falls depending on how enthusiastically the accelerator is pressed. I'm not sure about the XF but members with the same model should know.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

That's not too far out, I used to get around 500 miles from a tankful on my old 2010 XFS, and that was mainly city driving.
If you baby the 3.0D you can get up to 600 miles from a tankful but it's deadly boring driving that way for the whole 600 miles!
As Graham says the "range to empty" figure is based on the most recent driving so if you do a stint of steady highway cruising at around 50-60 mph the range will go up significantly.

432 miles... I wish.
When I fill up I'm lucky to get 432km (268 miles). Granted, I do have the Petrol V6, not the diesel.
