Hi Everyone.

Im slowly coming to the end of my tether with this one so any help or advice or recommendations on places to take the XF would be welcome. My 2008 XF 2.7D has a gearbox fault when I accelerate with 30% or more throttle when doing 50+ mph. It does it in both D & S modes. The car basically finds a neutral and shows gearbox fault on the dash. Pulling over and stoping then restarting the car resolves it until I do the same acceleration again. It continues to show D or S on the gear selector with no flashing. It doesn’t do it at lower speeds or when I start from 0mph and I can accelerate hard through all gears from the lower speeds and 0mph too.
The car has done 126k miles and has just had a gearbox oil change and new transmission software flashed into it.
(Apparently the software was 2 versions old so some updating has taken place at least!)
