Default got my supercharger pully installed 2010 XFR

Well I just got back home from the next phase of upgrade. Again I took the drive to Eurotoys down in Illinois and the drive was hell, traffic and everything is road construction. Gas $450 for 93 octane. The first phase I got the crank pulley and Viezu tune at Eurotoys and I was like wow this car goes, then I had the center section of exhaust removed and added x pipe and mina axle back. Now I got the supercharger pulley and the double sided belt. Now you already read how fun my drive down was, let me tell you the one back was much more fun the car spools up so much faster and feels way stronger. I didn't expect that much change being I had done the lower pulley already but its a different car. I picked up a charge cooler upgrade from Mike and bought the bosch charge pump so thats next. Yes Mike i'm going to figure on the front brakes first!

I have dealt with Mike a few times now and really appreciate his patience and willingness to help ensure my car is built right and at a fair price.
These XFR cars are truly a best kept secret in performance sedans at an affordable price and can be made to compete with most any car for a small amount of money if you deal with the right vendors and have a good plan

I just did the crank pulley and tune on my XF also...does the supercharger pulley make that much of a difference in addition to those?

oh yes I expected a little bump everyone who has riden in my car before and after the second pulley say its way faster, I just ran a 07 z06 with bolt ons from 30 to 100 ish i let him jump a car on me before I hit the gas and before I was to 100 the car was fully in my rear view mirror He rolled his window down gave me a thumbs up and turned I was really expecting to hear him say try it again but I think he realized he couldnt keep up.The torque it makes makes it a perfect 30 mph roll racer, from a stop I think he would have gotten out on me but I should have run him down based on what I just saw.

Mike really did me good he knows what works and doesnt in these cars

I have the 3.0 S/C but I'm sure adding the top pulley would still make the same difference regardless. It will be next on my list.

Congratulations, it sounds like your results from the upper pulley install were better than what I would have thought based on what I have read previously. Just to make sure I have it right you had already done the lower pulley and Viezu tune from Eurotoys, which I have done already also, along with your exhaust modifications. Was the only change the actual upper pulley or did he retune it also. I’m excited to hear that this made so much difference in your opinion because I was thinking I might not bother with the upper pulley at all since it sounded like it would not make that much difference for the trouble it takes to R&R it. I was planning on doing at least the X pipe on the exhaust next even if I don’t do the axle back. Did you notice much of a difference in when you did your exhaust modifications?

Nup it doesn't work that way, adding just a smaller top/SC/snout pulley to the V6 makes little or no difference even with a tune.
Coz the OEM snout pulley is already smaller than the V8 pulley and is nearly as small as you can go, historically the "small" V8 snout pulley is the same or the same size as the V6 pulley.
That said Velocity AP (sorry, a competitor of Eurotoys!) now offers a smaller "no slip" snout pulley for the V6 called "Grip-Tech", but even then it only gives another 20 hp above what the larger crank pulley + tune gives, 450 hp to 470 hp so not much difference.
I'm not bashing Eurotoys, in fact my larger crank pulley is a Eurotoys one and their after-sales service was first class.

Great to hear about your experience. Also curious if Mike retuned/reflashed the car based on the second pulley upgrade?

Not as much as if you swapped it for a 5.0SC.
