So- most of u have read my rantings-
first TOMS won't recover spins constantly
then battery warnings
the gear box warning

Finally said screw it -
a) went to 2 local shop (one pep boys) had load test-
BATTERY - low but fine (this is from computer)
alternator - good
starter - good

I give up bring reports from this board and load test reports.
advisor noted them but does not show them to tech

i wait an hour sneak into tech room advisor flips but i had 7 min with tech.
MY battery is jag installed 6 months.

advisor ends it with -
a) u have defective battery - under warranty
and the module and receiver are about 700 with labor

I ask how much for parts? module for example-
he says $380-400ish.
i say what part #

THEN SAY HERE IS SAME JAGUAR PART OEM VIA MERRIAM FOR $168
HE SAYS BRING IT IN AND WE WILL ONLY CHARGE U $300 FOR INSTLALL AND REPROGRAM.

DROVE HOME 50 MILES NOT ONE TPMS.
TODAY IT WENT OFF ONCE/TWICE-

SO I BROUGHT IT TO LOCAL SHOP AND DID WHAT OTHER SAID -
ENGINE OFF - TOOK TIRES DOWN TO 16LBS
ENGINE ON INFLATED TO 35LBS.

COULD IT TAKE DAYS TO READJUST??? COMPUTER- MODULAR??

 

jwmciti: Could I suggest you write your posts in a less abbreviated style? I found them difficult to follow, athough I get the general idea. You may get more repsonses. Just a suggestion.

 

yes u are right.. just so frustrated.

dealer says 2 parts are 480.
i said I can get them OEM for 300
he said do it we will install and program.

i still say its simpler but jag is like apple with their codes

I feel the frustration , that sucks.. I hope i do not encounter this..

 

truth of the matter is
the toms module and receiver $167 (mod) + $91. receiver.

then jag will install and reprogram for $300 - 20% off in april.

I'm still wondering could it take a week or 2 to balance out with the new battery???
