Had all this work done at the dealer. How much do you think it cost.
I am unable to do all this work, and could not find a good shop to do the work. So I took it to the dealer. They did great work. Here is a list of all the work. Give me you guess of the cost. I will put the total after I see many guesses.
1.Replace all cooling system components. Upper Lower pipe, Expansion hose, Thermostat housing, Both upper thermostat hoses, Water pump, Outlet tube and seal behind water pump, Rear Coolant manifold, Intake gaskets X2, Charge air cooler gasket, and Coolant. How Much?
2. Brake Fluid exchange. How Much?
3. Replace All 6 Spark plugs, and Coils. How Much?
4. Replace Supercharger, and Accessory belt with new tensioners and idler pullies. How Much?
5, Replace Differential Fluid. How much?
6. Shop fee. How Much?
Total with 6% sale tax. = Grand Total of:

Following this because I've got a 2013 and at 10 years, I am ready to get the cooling components replaced.
I thought if they take the supercharger off for that, its best to rebuild that. ( I have no idea if that needs it )

Rob--> S/C comes off so my guess 8 - 10 hours labor?
Labor $1600
Parts $600
2. Brake Fluid exchange. How Much?
Rob-->$260
3. Replace All 6 Spark plugs, and Coils. How Much?
Rob-->$600
4. Replace Supercharger, and Accessory belt with new tensioners and idler pullies. How Much?
Rob--> I'm afraid to guess actually (Replace S/C?)
Labor $??? (Labor time absorbed by the cooling components replace done at same time)
Parts $2000
5. Replace Differential Fluid. How much?
Rob-->
Labor $400
Parts $100
6. Shop fee. How Much?
Rob--> $150
Ha, I guess I'm up for a guessing game... and I'm not very knowledgeable

Going on the limited details, Over 50% of the value of the car. Being a 2014 XF 3.0SC with ave milage.
Yes, dealers are expensive.
Did you get a quote for the work scope first?
Just the transmission oil flush, and the supercharger oil change to do and you're all done.

Yes got a quote first. Yes that cost is high, and about 60% of what the car could sell for. I did not put in my original post that all this work I had done is because the car is 9 1/2 years old with only 42,500 miles. During the 5 years I have own the car I have only put in $1,600 for service. so over 5 years it is costing me about $2,000 per year to keep my car in great running order with no break downs. I know some will say just buy another car. My question is where are you going to be able to buy a car at this level, and pay less $2,000 per for year just for the payments, even if you get service included for lets say year for a good used car. Here are some numbers. Lets say I buy a good used 50,000 mile for $10,000 and do 72 months it would still cost $2,160 per year with a car with used items, that the used warranty may not cove all, and not for the 72 months. Plus that used car you never fully know the history of it. So that cost will be higher per year. So right now I get to drive a great car that is in wonderful condition, and I know all of the service that has been done.
Great to see someone actually think it through, and give the car they love the attention it deserves

Most, if not all of those things could be done at a regualr mechanic. The brakes and trans service (ZF 6 spd) are nothing special (no special tools needed) plugs as well...
A good indy jag shop coudl do the pipes. I got mine done for 800.
You are in georgia. (in the State not the country I am guessing) Check here and pick one close to you https://www.jagshops.com/cities/georgia

His car his money indeed. If he came to the forum earlier, with
"I am thinking of getting work done on a 2014 XF 3.0ltr SC 9 1/2 years old with only 42,500 miles?"
"I am unable to do all this work, and could not find a good shop to do the work?" But quoted USD XXXX by the dealer.
There would have been other options for repairs, and suggestions recommendations of by whom in the area.
Which would have made it cheaper and possibly better.
Even with trucking/shipping a couple of hundred miles.

You did get a quote beforehand for the work done, so the cost should not have come as a surprise.
Dealers, Who's labour costs are double that of the independent. Ball park JLR USD 200 Independent 100 per hour.
Some questionable items, @ 42,500miles.
Done.
Plugs and coils sets at 42K? OK you were in there for the 42k plugs. But Coils?
Replace Supercharger, and Accessory belt with new tensioners and idler pulleys. The belts sure on age but All the tensioners and idler pulleys? Seems rather excessive.
Not Done.
The supercharger isolator and oil change, refill.
PCV, can be done anytime but if you don't do things yourself, they are in there and it is 9.5 years old, with a milage life of about 100k.
Transmission service, Oil and filter, But I doubt a dealer would do this anyway.
Cleaning air cooler when out.
Cleaning of the inlet valves and inlet throat.
Changing to alloy type CW pipes on the front from plastic. Lasts longer.(not a JLR part so may not install)
Inspection of the suspension rubber boot covers, which are about to start cracking and splitting after 9.5 years. Requiring new rubber dust boots, not complete suspension parts.(again not JLR part, so will install a complete unit/item)
Air filter, Cabin filter? or may be just completed a serviced?. Open and vaccum out the air filter tray anyway.
This is all subjective, and there is no right and wrong answers. But a good Jaguar Independent would/could have given a more complete and broader service with the information from Jssaab post. at a lesser cost.
I for one is not suggesting selling the car, but better review the options to achieved the aims of getting all the required work done at a competitive price.
Having just been through this on mine at 65K miles, and finding JLR replacing most of the above during warrantee for the previous owner at up to 28,5K miles including the supercharger isolator. I have changed many CW pipes and the CW pump again because of failure, or preventative measure or item revision improvement.
Happy trouble free motoring.
Just had most of that done in January
