So I've been wanted better output from these headlights, cleaner cutoff lines, and possibly to have hid/projector high and low beams. After a few emails and pictures back and forth with Theretrofitsource.com, they confirmed that the ZKW-R lenses are direct replacement for clear lenses, and the Morimoto's EVOX-R are direct replacements but bi-xenon, just have to wire in high beam signal.

Have you looked into if anyone has higher wattage ballasts for these cars?

 

no, but i know it showed you could choose d1s or d2s bulb fitment, so worse case switch to d2s and go 55w.

 

that would be great. I’ve done 55w in my other vehicles and the output was much better. I never bothered to upgrade anything else.
