Hi guys, anyone have any write-ups on how I can hardwire my radar detector? running the cord across my dash and over the nav screen is a little annoying.

Depends on your detector as to the "hardwire kit" you can buy which usually has an inline fuse. I ran mine down the A pillar on the passenger side and into the passenger side fuse box then used a fuse tap (about $6 off Amazon) to tie into F28 (I think) which goes live when the car is unlocked and shuts off when locked. It’s the same fuse that powers the in console power socket. Took me about an hour.

My Beltronics cable came from here https://store.blendmount.com/hardtap...long-p323.aspx

There is a switched +12V in the overhead light. You have to solder to a connector. I've read that you can by the correct adapter cable from Jaguar but it really isn't necessary. It took me a few minutes to figure it out with a DMM. I also hid a 12V to 5V USB adapter in the headliner for a dashcam and the USB cable comes out where the headliner meets the windshield along with the wire for the RADAR detector. There are no visible wires anywhere once the webcam and RADAR detector are in-place.

Isn't USB on a 5v line? Did you put in a step down transformer? In the mirror housing?

Any photos would be welcome!
