Default NAV Clock with no head unit?

I'm going to replace the head unit in my 2003 XKR.

I know the NAV will not function standalone, but will it still work as a clock?

If it still is a clock, there may be some use in keeping it. If not, and its just a blank screen, I will probably do something with the space.

Thanks!

Hello!

The screen should work without HU, but I haven't tried so far. At least, you have to feed the 'screen enable'-signal to the screen. This means: provide +12V(positive battery) to contact FC97-9 ( orange wire) of the display-connector. Without this, the screen remains black. Maybe you can take positive battery voltage from FC97-4?

Greetings Wolf!

get rid of it and do a triple gauge conversion, much nicer looking.

Rip it all out and put in a Garmin that actually is useful.
