Default How to remove A Pillar interior panel?

how do I pull off the interior panel for the driver side A pillar? Last year the wire for the electric heated windshield was heating up and melting the plastic, causing smoke, I had it taken care of but I suspect the similar is happening again because I smell a sweet burning smell.

Is it just a pull off? And specific way I should do it?

Flip/lever the airbag cover off (the little panel with "airbag" on it).
Underneath is a single screw (Philips head IIRC), remove that screw.
The panel then just pulls off, but some levering with a trim removal tool usually helps.

I forgot to add, you need to pull the door opening sealing strip (rubber) away from the A-pillar panel first, it simply pulls off and you push it back on.
