No problem, did you go with the single frequency or dual?

Same for me. Dual frequency. Now I'll just have to find the time to install!

I've been sort of looking at rubber grommets for when I drill the hole, but I think I'm going to have to take apart the area first and see what I'm dealing with.

You won't want to use any grommet cause then the led won't sit flush to the trunk. It will be raised 1-2 mm and won't look factory. Just drill the holes lay the led down and silicone from inside the trunk.

I purchased a dual-freq leaper LED from Bob over the weekend, should ship out this week.

If someone could clarify one thing for me - does the dual freq leaper stay illuminated at all times? Or does it turn off when not parked/braking, and then illuminate brighter when in park/braking?

I'm pretty sure it stays lit at all times and gets brighter when you apply brakes. I say that cause that's what dual freq does.

If you just wanted it to light up when you apply brake, you could have got single freq and wired it to the brake light vs the parking light.

Your LED is gonna have two harnesses. One for parking and one for braking.

Looking forward to seeing it. It's been freezing temperatures and snowy ever since I got mine, so I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I was hoping for the rear leaper emblem. I already did the front months ago.

I got the bigger red emblem and put a light behind it, so we'll see if I get pulled over or something. Hasn't happened yet.
Putting the bigger one gave me room behind it to mount a stick-on LED light. From there, I used a dremel to sand the back of the emblem down so more light would shine through, then mounted it and it looks pretty good (in my opinion).

Do you know if the larger front emblem would fit the xkr 150 , if so where did you get it from. Thanks

Not a clue. I just got it on Ebay. It was a fortunate accident, really. I meant to just get a red emblem, but when it arrived it was too big. Then I noticed it would still fit in the hole, although it's not perfect, so I had to shave a bit on the sides. Then I thought, why not light it up? And behold it was good.

So I guess what I'm saying is, you can always just give it a shot and see.

That's slick. Makes me almost excited enough to go out in the cold and wet to install it. Almost.

If the problem is the leaper being a bit bent, you could probably heat it up with a heat gun or blowdryer and flatten it out.
