I have a 2010 XF LUX, and I am thinking about doing a mod and getting the Illuminated Door Sills, are there any after market ones out there, or can the standard OEM ones be modified?

Jaguar makes a kit to update the regular door sills to illuminated ones. Expensive.

 

Has anyone figured how to wire the illuminated
Tread plates to the blue accent lighting on the doors??

I would like the tread plates to stay on when the accent
lighting goes on at night, etc....

 

Warning! My friend has them and when they turn on at night, they have a slight humming sound until they fade out. Not sure if I'd want to hear that all night. I want them also to stay on for mood lighting as well. I think it's the leds that are making the noise.
