Yes, it can best be described as "Intermittent power". Approaching a parking lot one block away, suddenly the gas pedal would not respond and then it did and then it didn't (jerky response). Kind of like a bit of bad gas or fuel starvation. Checked for codes later after I got home (with no recurring symptoms) and there were no stored codes or pending codes. Things like this make me very nervous with respect to the reliability of this car. BTW..it is an 09 XF-SC

 

Ok, based on what you said a fuel starvation symptom without true starvation sounds like a TPS (Throttle position sensor) issue. Is it happening at partial throttle only? There are some tests you can do on the TPS as well as checking the fuel pressure. HTH
