Hi,

I am now into my second XF and have a frustrating problem with my iPhone 5. It pairs perfectly and calls are no problem, however I get no sound when I receive a text. My previous iPhone 3 worked faultlessly.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Maybe its Apple's new way to keep you from texting while driving.

 

Same problem here in a 13 XFR but with a Windows 8 phone. Pairs and handsfree calling works but no texts. Works fine in my wife's FX37 though.

 

Ok, so maybe its Jaguar's way to keep us from texting while driving.

 

I wouldn't think so. I am referring to the voice functions for text. Have the system read a new text out and allow verbal responses. All hands-free and by the way will work sporadically in my XFR if I have the BT audio streaming engaged. It will interrupt the BT music streaming and read out the text.
