Default Jag xf 2011 H7 bulbs not working

Hello,

I hope someone can help, my jag xf 2011 3.0d premium has developed a fault with my lights. Both H7 lights (main beam) have stopped working both on the auto and manual setting. The Side lights and main beam both still work ok.
Looking through the handbook there doesn’t appear to be a fuse or relay to fix the issue.
can someone please point me in the right direction, has anyone had this happen to them?

Im reluctant to take it to a Jag garage as it may cost a small fortune for something that I think should be fairly straight forward to fix if I know where to look.

All help advice will be welcomed, thank you in advance for your help.

Stupid question, but have you checked all the fuses anyway? This can be done a lot quicker with a multimeter that can touch the metal tips on top of the fuses. I've just checked my handbook and it doesn't list fuses for the headlights but I find it very odd that these would't be fused in the same way as any other eletrical load. Just saying, there's a suspicious amount of "Not used" entries in the fuse lookup tables, and I wouldn't be altogether surprised if that manual is incorrect/incomplete. Worth a shot, as BOTH headights failing does indeed sound like a fuse or relay issue.

EDIT: Apparently, the XF doesn't use fuses for the headlights, it uses FETs. You could have failing/failed balasts. Do you have HID/Xenons lights?
