Default Jag XFR Tryre going flat

Hi, long time lurker first time poster!

Recently replaced both front tyres on my MY10 XFR. The front left has been going flat over a period of 10 days to a couple of weeks for a while, was fairly worn so I figured it had a slow puncture. Anyway, last night Costco fitted new Michenlin PS4s to both front wheels. This morning I come out to the car and the front left tyre looks to be totally flat.

I'm not sure what the best way forward would be with this, I guess there are a multitude of things that could be causing this, leaking alloy or possibly the tyre sensor/valve assembly.which I assume could only be replaced by a Jaguar dealer?

Any suggestions welcome!

you most likely have a crack or bend in the rim thats causing the air to leak. happens to me all the time.

one time it was the TPMS that was broken that was causing it to leak air. you're going to have to get the tire off the rim and inspect the rim

I concur on the bent/cracked wheel as I have had a couple happen the same exact way. Check the wheel all around looking for hairline cracks where wheel meets tire front and back. I might be selling a front and rear nevis wheels soon, so let me know what u find and maybe we can help each other.

As the other bods have said, hairline fracture or badly bent rim, especially on the inside which is more vulnerable (if this is the problem, depending upon which wheels you have, a repair, or good used replacement may be more cost effective), corrosion where the tyre seats is also a possibility, although any decent tyre fitter should have cleaned that off and spread some sealant on the joint. The TPMS valves can occasionally be a problem, but repair kits are readily available on ebay. Any tyre dealer should be able to fit these for you, but will need a Torx T6 bit to dismantle and reassemble it; not everyone has one.

Check the seal on the valve stem/tpms.

I am interested in a front Nevis wheel, having broken a huge chunk out of my front right one on the interstate due to "quality" road construction techniques, I have only 3 of a set, and need a fourth.

Thanks for the replies all, after some investigation it's a crack in the rim so looks like I need to replace the wheel... Thought a repair might be possible but a quick Google gives some very conflicting advice on whether this is actually a good idea..

Cracked Alloy

Hard to tell from the photo - is that the inner rim with a crack? If it hasn't spread far (eg a half inch or less) it could be repairable. A good alloy welder can fix it stronger than the original and avoid crack spread. But you need a good wheel alloy expert who knows what they are doing

Otherwise yes - new rim. Not cheap

i would recommend going completely aftermarket, since you're going to consistently have issues with Nevis rims.

its what im considering now. i just cant find a set i like

He hasn't got Nevis, he has Dark Draco's (posted on another forum).
But seeing as he didn't tell us on this forum what wheels he has, and the majority of XFRs came with Nevis, that's a fair enough assumption to make.
I had Nevis on my old XFR and never had a single problem with buckling or cracks, despite the crappy roads where I live. I have a sneaking suspicion the fragility of Nevis (and possibly Draco's as well) could be related to road temps, ie they can be a problem on really cold roads, as it never gets all that cold where I am.

I have Draco’s On my v8sc and they are good, but I do not use them in the winter.

So you may be onto something.

Cold temps and potholes might cause some brittle issues with the Jag alloys.
