Unhappy Jaguar Xf 2011 2.2 D Luxury - Restricted Performance P006a

Hi Guys,

I am new to Jag and to this forum.
hello to all

I bought a 2011 jaguar xf 2 days ago from a trader 120 miles away from where i live (Reading). And within 2 days warning light mentioning "Restricted Performance" appeared.

One local garage reset the warning light yesterday morning but in the evening it appeared again.
This warning is not coming all the time though. It has appeared 3-4 times though in 250 miles i have droven in ~2 days.

I checked with ELM327 the code i am getting P006A.

I was given 3 months warranty when i got the car with customer protect.

Now I went to local Jag dealership they are saying £128+VAT for daignostics and that will be done after 2-3 weeks, if i book now.

I have spent so much money and this problem is happening which is ruining my jag experience.

Now what should be the best course of action?

1. Should i go ahead and book diagnostics with Jag in 3 weeks time?

2. Should i goto some local garage next week?

3. should i ask for refund from dealer under my consumer rights?

Your valued opinion will be appreciated.

Thanks

Or ask seller to fix it. That's why the law gives you 6 (six) months (which cannot be reduced to 3).
