Default Jaguar XF Engine Check

Hi all,

Recently i bought a Jaguar XF 2013 model brand new in May 2014. Few days i got a engine check light ? Is any one experienced the same issue !!!

I already contacted the dealer, i will get checkup in few days... Before that i would like make sure with community people how it affects the car in future. According to that i can demand Dealer.....


Please post your suggestion guys....

No point in any more posts till you read the codes.

Go to an auto parts store like auto zone. They'll read your code for free.

I have on occasion seen where the check engine light came on but no codes were recorded. Please let us know what you find as far as codes.

I made an appointment with Jaguar dealer in few days... Hope he resolves the issue... If it is major issue i need to think what to do further...!!

Probably a loose gas cap.

There's no minimum time for a CEL to appear. The car is in warranty. Let the dealer find out what the cause is and fix it.

Although if it's due to a loose gas cap I suppose they might make a charge if the owner simply failed to fit it properly.
