Default Jaguar XF USB Video Format 2012 model

I've been playing with Jaguar XF video formats through USB flash for some time and here is what I found out so far in order to help you guys and save you some time and headache when playing your favourite music on USB memory stick.

If you want to use compressed video formats, do this with DIVX becuse this is format what my Jag reads.
If we are talking about the video quality, I tried playing different formats 1920x1080 and then 1280x720 but none of these did not work so the last format I played that was working was 720x576.
I'm using pretty easy converter where I do the job with a just one right click on the file and then select DIVX with 720 quality and the job is done.

Thumbs up Best suitable format

Just one more important thing.
If you are converting your video for example to 720x576 you will get the smaller displayable video so the best is if you can convert it so that the other number is smaller like 400 or so.
Because of this reason I convert it to 720x400 and then the whole screen is the video clip.

I have a 2011 XF, tried different formats but none were recognized. Does this only work on 2012 and up? Has the multi display changed? Is the 2011 not capable of playing video?

Hello!

Wondered whether you are playing videos via USB with the standard multi display or one with TV/Navi? I have tried but mine XF 2014 didn't show any available files on a stick..
