Default Jaguar XF vs X-type

I have the opportunity to swap my jaguar x-type with 09 jaguar sv8. Has anyone else have had the oppurtunity to own both of these cars.

I obviously know the performance difference but I am interested in how:

1. rear leg space shall compare
2. driver comfort on highways
3. engine feel.

Thanks

Didn't you ask the same question 6 months ago under similar, but different username 3 series vs XF? Still haven't made up your mind?

Do it in a heartbeat. Rear leg space is slightly better in the XF, Driver comfort is much better on the highway and always and you must be kidding about the engine. Not even in the same league....XF SV8 is a monster motor you'll love it.

I've owned both an X Type Sport 3.0 5 spd and a base model 2009 XF 4.2 V8 and I'd take that XF over the X Type. In fact I did. I traded up.

I swapped my 2006 X-Type 3.0 for a 2012 XF. I drove the 2009 XF as a service loaner and I knew right then that the XF was my next car. The X-Type is a compact executive while the XF is mid size so right away everything inside is bigger. The XF is 10" longer so it is a little trickier to park but the turning circle is tighter.

Handling is much better and 33% more HP and two more cylinders are a joy. Oh, and the sound it makes when you mash the throttle...
