Jaguar xf won't start
Hello, I have a problem with the jaguar xf 2013 2.2 diesel. The car stood for a few days and does not start. After pressing start, all the indicators light up and no reaction. The pacemaker does not try to crank or make any noise. The message about pressing the brake to start the car normally disappears when you press the pedal. Do you have an idea what it could be? Battery replaced last year. New batteries in the remote control. the diagnostics showed an error P0 512-64 starter request circuit
I don't have the manual for your engine so I can't be specific, but it seems its trying to tell you there is a fault on the "starter request circuit", usually either an open circuit or a short to ground so it can't crank the engine.
Even though the battery has been replaced recently, check the battery connections in the trunk/boot.
I had a similar issue a while back and ended up being the battery connector was corroded and wouldn't make full contact.

I had the same problem.. after a local mechanic came everything was pointing to the starter motor.. changed that.. still nothing..changed the brake switch.. nothing.. auto electrical mechanic came out.. fault was that for some reason jag xfs have 2 wires to the starter motor.1 to allow the current to operate the solenoid the other to tell the engine to spin. 2nd wire wasn’t sending a signal so electricalian altered loom to allow the 1 wire to do both.. car has been perfect since
