Did you notice ANY seat of the pants difference with the 100 octane. There is a station near me with 110. I didn't really...
I notice I have a faster car with a fresh coat of wax, not so much with the 110 gas

Not really, most newer computer controlled cars won't give you a seat of the pants + with racing gas, what your trying to do with the higher octane (which burns slower) is let the computer max out your timing, that in turn will give you better performance across the total rpm range. Most newer performance cars Have what I like a call a party mode. or
The Air is cool
The gas is good
No check engine light
No faults held in memory
You've already got on it a few times
So the Computer keeps the fuel and spark in max performance (Party mode) until something poops the party, like detonation (It can hear it way before we do) then the computer goes into PROTECT mode killing the timing, adding fuel and killing performance. IDK about the Jag, but for my LS Camaro to go back into party mode you had to put in at least 4 gallons of gas in it or drive 20mi without the computer hearing any detonation. . Oh and unless you've had a tune, your computer won't see octane higher than 101.
