Today i took in the XF for the seatbelt safety recall and the computer said it also needed the "K033 Cluster" recall/re-programming. The service manager was clueless..
Does anyone know what the K033 update fixes, or what it's for?

 

yes the algorithym for the volume on the seat belt/turnsignal sounder is too loud and burns out the speaker. The reflash turns it down cause when it goes out you have to replace the whole Insp pack and program the new one...I know another well thought out part incorporating a speaker with an expensive inst pack

..almost forgot.. I got an X-Type as a loaner... I am NOT impressed with it..

 

Picked it up today..
Can't tell a difference in the sound level of the turn signal or the seatbelt warning.. but i COULD tell a big difference in the air-conditioned seat cushion. before, when the seat A/C was on, i could hardly tell.. feeling just a tiny bit of a cool/wet feeling after several minutes.. now though, the a/c blows so hard thru the seat i honestly think my ******* was flapping.. nearly blew me out of the seat.. big improvement..
