Hi Guys,

Just got my 09 XF PL last month and love it. Today I went to exit the vehicle and due to high winds the door swung open wildly and right at the end of the swing I heard a fairly substantial pop sound.

Door seemed ok after and there wasn't any popping sound after that. I checked all the hinges and nothing seems to be out of order. Anyone experienced this and know what the popping sound was? Should I be taking it in to the shop to make sure everything is in fact ok with the door?

Sorry a bit paranoid.

 

If no issues I suspect the pop was the final detent position and no harm was done. Next service ask the mechanic to examine it.
