Removed this and no wires visible



Is it this part which has the wire?

you're probably needing to look for less of a "wire" and more of an element that gets exposed to airflow. 1/4'' to 3/8'' of exposed maybe? i think you have the correct part. look at it as the air would pass over / through and you'll likely see it better.
