my maf sensor is putting on my engine managment light as code suggests with reader. Clear error and it comes back in a day or to. Think i'll take it out and clean with maf cleaner before buying one to see if any difference. If i dissconnect, take out , clean and assemble again, do i have to set anything, or is it straight forward

 

pretty simple - just use REAL maf cleaner, and wipe down the housing with cleaner on paper towels - lots of gook hides in there sometimes.

 

Do more research before you do it!! There are threads that warn of an interior coating on the maf sensor................Ok, apparently for XK8's but not XK's, better safe than sorry!
