Default Location of centre speaker connector

I have a 2012 XF that doesn't have the centre speaker installed, I have removed the dash speaker grill and can't see a connector. Does anyone know where it is? The car has the 400w jaguar system.

The 400W system in the XF is not a surround system. Actually in a 2012MY I'm not sure that system would even have a subwoofer. 2012MY was a bit of an odd one...

To make a surround upgrade in an XF you have to add that wiring harness to the center speaker, plus change the amp to a surround version and make the changes in the CCF to enable surround functions. And if you're missing the sub, and other surround speakers, there's more to be done.

Not impossible, I've helped out on one 2012MY XF upgrade...

No I don't have a sub woofer, does the surround amp plug straight in and where is the connector to add the wiring harness for the centre speaker? Is the wiring connector for the sub already in place? Apologies for 50 questions by the way.

Default current amp

The amp is the most expensive item, you need p/n DX23-19C164-BA, same one used in the XF, Range Rovers, and other models.

The center speaker you will probably only find new, p/n C2Z22817 from Jaguar

You can install the surround amplifier and the sound system will continue to function as normal (without surround features) so the install can be done first, programming done later.
my current amp in my 2012 XF is AW9319C164CU mid-8, is this capable of plugging in the factory sub-woofer?

The amp is not plug & play, it plugs it but you won't get the surround or subwoofer functions without changing the Car Configuration File (CCF) using an SDD diagnostic tool.

The subwoofer wiring harness will be there already, if you got a subwoofer and mounted it under the spare, it will just plug in.

The harness for the center speaker in the dash runs from a connector in the side of the dash (open the end panel on the left hand side). You cannot buy this harness, but it's possible to make one, I have the connector and pins to suit the speaker in my collection of parts.

The surround speakers on the rear parcel shelf will just plug in, there is a separate harness for them you can buy as a spare.

Have a look in this thread https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...trofit-147971/

No that amp cannot run the subwoofer.

I have a couple of spare amps in my collection, one for the "Premium" system, for adding subwoofer, also one for the "Surround" system as well.

But they aren't plug & play, you need some programming done to make it work.

I have bought all the bits now, my only other concern is whether the doors on mine have all the surround speakers installed, this will be the next phase and to source the missing speakers if they dont.

Roll up a piece of paper into a tube, and point it at the speaker grill near the door handle with music playing, if you hear music, you have the midrange speakers in your front doors.

In 2012MY there are 10 speakers in entry level sound system: 3 in each front door, 2 in rear door.

Hello I come from China, I have modified the 825W sound system in 2014, but after the contrast effect has failed and the original 825W sound system, I also study recently estimated because calibration CCF inside do not sound check. Also, the line diagram you provide is very vague and helps to provide a clear drawing. In addition, I am wondering if I want to reinstall 825W's audio system software, perhaps to the original car

Have you update amplifier's software or not?

I have modified the advanced audio system and premium sound options in CCF engineering mode, and all speakers are replaced with B & W speakers. But the sound effect is less than the original 825W sound, the whole sound field as the original car. I am in the current vehicle configuration file to be modified. I guess it is not from the maintenance function inside the audio entertainment system to update these are my guess. I help my friend XF2.0T384W changed to 825W on the success. But I was 256W upgrade to 825W sound sound field as the original 825W

The little difference in sound quality could be only if you doesn’t change speakers, so for improve sound quality you’ll need to install B&W bass speakers in front and rear doors, Meridian midrange and tweeter speakers.

Have you already install the surround speakers in parcel shelf and dash panel?

[QUOTE = 08292; 1771765]声音质量的差异只有在不更换扬声器的情况下,才能提高声音质量,您需要在前门和后门安装B&W低音喇叭,M eridian中音和高音单元扬声器。

你是否已经在行李架和仪表板安装环绕音箱?[/ QUOTE]
First of all thank you very much, at present my car all the speakers are installed, covering the middle of the instrument panel coaxial speakers, all the speakers I replaced the B & W speakers, I use the amplifier is AW93-19C164-BR. Does this model of the amplifier affect what I said of these questions? Now the question is: 1. I listen to the stereo when the feeling of human voice on the left. 2. The same song, the original car 825W volume adjustment to 25, and my car volume needs to be adjusted to 35, this time both the sound size is close. This problem has been troubled me for a long time did not sleep well. Haha

May I ask you send me details for AAM module from SDD? After it I could tell from what vehicle your amplifier.
