Metallic noise from front end
I drive a 2011 Jaguar XF Base. It has about 31000 miles on it. What I notice after driving for around 10 miles is that sometimes (very rarely) as the car drives over minor bumps (lane marker reflectors) it is a metallic tink tink tink sound coming from the front end. It is not regular- just few tinks and goes away on its own. Also notice it when driving at highway speeds and let off the accelerator to decelerate and then accelerate again. During that moment when it switches from decelerating to accelerating, I hear that sound again tink tink. Its like a heavy metallic bell ringing. What could it be? I was guessing maybe the brake pads moving around inside the callipers? That would explain why I hear it after the car has been driven for a while - brakes pad getting hot and hard.
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance
