Modify windshield wipers?? Help
Does anyone know if there's any modifying these ugly big clunky windshield wipers that the Jaguars come with ? They are so big and ugly that's all you see when you look out to the hood so I want to know if I can make them smaller or get rid of them or modify them so if anyone's done that so when you look out of your windshield all you see is that beautiful power bulge which is what you should be looking at not big clunky windshield wipers and if you adjust your seat too high you're hitting the roof so that doesn't work let me know your thoughts on why you think the designers decided to stick the windshield wipers up so high instead of making the hood higher and cover the windshield wipers like other cars

Well the guy is right, for a sport sedan this should have been done better. Problem is the XF was designed on a shoe string budget and the chassis is mostly a re-skinned S-Type. So that kind of packaging was restricted both by dimensions and funds that could be spent on it.
Nothing can be done about it other than getting a different car where those small things are done to your liking from the design stage. The wipers did get tucked in on the 2016 XF redesign, so for somebody who really insists, they can explore retrofitting a set from a salvage to an earlier car.

Actually,it's a Lincoln LS ...
No actually the DEW98 platform was co-developed by Ford&Jaguar but first showed on the Lincoln LS.
Most people knew that, but what they didn't know is that the same platform was used with the final Thunderbird (although it was shortened).
But, wrt wipers, the thing that kills me is that the wiper arms don't bend up to allow snow to be cleared. What, they don't get snow in the UK??

You dreamed of a big star -
He played a mean guitar -
He loved to drive his Jaguar...
So welcome to the machine
