My 2010 XF SC not starting, but has power. Any help appreciated
So the chronicles of the broken Jag continue. I previously thought I had a possible starter motor going bad, so had that replaced along with a new battery. Now, it made no difference but mechanic said it finally threw some codes (dont know which ones yet) but he said it had to do with the instrument cluster and Ecm. Anyone else with similar issues? Car is a 2010 XF SC. And again, it powers on and then just one click, won't start. Power comes on, all hvac systems work etc. Very frustrating and no one seems like they know how to work on Jags here in South FL. I want to get this thing running and traded in asap, lol. Any ideas guys?
Sounds like it could be the brake pedal switch, they commonly fail after a few years and are a fairly cheap to replace item (but a PITA to get at!).
Something else you could try first which has worked for me when I had the same symptoms on my 2010 XFR is to really stand on the brake pedal as hard as you physically can while you press the start button.

Well, you can either keep throwing money at it (new starter, battery, etc) or you can find a qualified mechanic. I'm quite sure that there are forum members in South Florida who can recommend a mechanic .. My last choice would be a Jaguar dealer, but if all else fails........
