Default Nav software

Does anyone know if the 2012 nav software can be loaded into a 2011 XFR nav system? I really like the 2012 display better than the 2011 display.

Pretty sure this was covered in multiple threads just recently.

Short answer is no.

From what I underhand, 2012 models use a hard drive based system while the older ones use a disc. You'd be looking at a complete hardware swap out.

But a hardware swap out is possible :-> ? The one in the 2010 is slow and clunky as mud, if the 2012's is any better I'd be all over it.

Is a hardware swap feasible?
