Well, *somebody*, somewhere knew it was repainted. But who, and when, and who (if anyone) did they disclose it to?

If the work was done under warranty then corporate Jaguar will have a record...as they paid the bill. A total repaint under warranty seems unlikely, however.

If another dealer had the car painted out-of-pocket, well, that's another matter. Jaguar dealer "A" can do all sorts of things without dealer "B" (or corporate Jaguar) knowing anything about it.

Anyhow, I hope the dealer takes their lumps quickly and gracefully, and you get satisfaction.
