Default New 2010 XF Purchase

Last week I purchased a 2010 XF Premium with 41,200 miles, Ebony exterior with Barley and Truffle interior. I purchased the car from Jaguar of Troy who detailed the car beautifully. The car recently had the brakes redone and came with new Michelins. Compared to my other Jaguars, the electronics is far exceeded. The car was purchased by the dealer in Birmingham, AL after a 4 year lease.
The car is the a cross between the XJ8 in comfort and faster than the '01 XKR, 390 hp vs 370 hp for the XKR. A true sports sedan.
I do have an nuisance rattle on the drivers side interior roof, where the handle is located. It rattles while going over bumpy Detroit roads, which is most of the time. I was wondering if anyone else with a XF has experienced this same rattle and how was it eliminated?
The '66 XKE 2+2 Coupe and the '01 XKR are in storage in an airport hanger on the island where I live. I wanted another Jaguar to drive during the winter, thus the purchase of the XF. I couldn't be happier.

Congratulations on the new car! Sorry to hear about the rattle - that can be really frustrating on a luxury car. Several of us had issues with roof rattles related to the sunroof - some issue with the original clips that hold the roof lining up. Try pushing up and down on the roof lining near the sunroof area - if you can replicate it that's the issue and there is a service bulletin / notice about how to fix it (needs dropping the headliner and some new clips installed). Otherwise if the rattle is at the side it sounds like something may have come loose and rolled over to the side. Unfortunately might need dropping the headliner to get access which will either take patience on your part or take it back to Troy and ask them to resolve. Good luck!

Thanks BritCars for the service bulletin tip. I am checking with my dealer to see if the bulletin will fix my problem. It seems the rattle is more to the front of the roof hand hold. I notice when I press on that area, the rattle stops, then when I release my hand the rattle returns. I have a local shop that replaces headliners which may be able to locate the source of the rattle.
I have noticed that the fuel gauge does not fill to the last mark to indicate a full tank? Then I have noticed the the fuel gauge suddenly will move from 1/2 full to 1/4 full in a very short amount of time. I am going to fill the tank again and see if this happens again. Very weird?
